Yes, the week's almost over but here's the menu anyway!

The Yellow Farmhouse Weekly Menu Plan
for November 11th- 17th

Notes: I realize the week is almost over and I’m just now sharing this.
Oh well. My mantra right now is: Better late than never!
The gardens are done and have been put to sleep for the winter. We’re still ripen the last of the tomatoes in the kitchen but that will probably only be through this next week and they’ll be all ate up. The chickens are “off their feed” and laying only 2 or 3 eggs a day if we’re lucky. We’re working on hooking up a light in the coop to hopefully combat this. I’m working on my holiday food lists to try and remain as frugal as possible. Prices have gone up on so many things…. I’m trying to figure what needs tweaking and what might need to get crossed off the list.
However- I was able to purchase a twelve pound turkey this week for just over $8 and that is a very good and helpful thing.
My girls have really been in baking moods lately and I’m taking full advantage of that. I’m trying to steer them towards baking bread, they’re mostly into baking sweet things.
Food wasted last week: a quarter of a loaf of French bread, two homegrown tomatoes, three apples… all of which went to the chickens.
