Weekly Menu- Slow cooking and comfort foods for cooler temps

The Yellow Farmhouse Weekly Menu Plan
for October 14th thru 20th


 Notes: We continue to enjoy all things pumpkin…. And to eat apples. Also- Crocktober is well under way- I shared 2 new crockpot/slow cooker recipes last week- Ms. Books' Cheddar Cheesy Mac-n-cheese and ....
New Recipe Update from Last Week: That Bacon Cheddarburger Soup was delish! We gave it 5 Wagner stars! I'm so glad I tossed in a can of diced tomatoes!
Food wasted last week: a few apples and potatoes, two pieces of bread, and a few burnt and crumbled cookies (all of which became chicken food), a partial container of cucumber-n-mayo salad from a month ago…. Ew.

Monday
Breakfast: Blueberry oatmeal, toast and jam
Lunch: Diner dinner
Dinner: Farmer’s Wife Pie (a super great way to use up some leftovers!), pickles, and sliced tomatoes
Tuesday – Breakfast for dinner
Breakfast: pumpkin cream cheese on pumpkin English muffins, apple slices
Lunch: chicken salad sandwiches, chips and pickle spears
Dinner: Egg-cellent Slowcooker Breakfast Casserole (recipe coming), sliced fruit
Wednesday
Breakfast: Yogurt and fruit parfaits topped with pumpkin granola, toast and jam
Lunch:  Diner dinner
Thursday
Breakfast: Choice: cold cereal with milk/ vanilla yogurt with fruit & granola
Lunch: Diner dinner
Dinner: Chicken Chow Mein
Friday 
Breakfast: Choice: cold cereal with milk/ vanilla yogurt with fruit & granola
Lunch: @ Nana’s
Dinner:  Hamburger gravy on toast, green beans
Saturday 
Breakfast: Daddy cook (eggs, bacon, toast or waffles or pancakes….)
Lunch: Leftover Smorgasbord
Dinner: Leftover Smorgasbord
Sunday
Breakfast: Coco Wheats with dried cranberries, toast
Lunch:  Quick Chicken Parmesan, green beans, biscuits
Dinner: Sunday Snupper (snacks for supper) leftovers or nachos or cereal if its late…

Snacks for the Week:
The snack staples: Oreos and popcorn
Other snacks- salsa & chips, pumpkin cranberry muffins
Fruit for noshing this week: apples
Desserts we’re hoping I make this week:

Cream cheese frosted chocolate chip cranberry pumpkin cookies
(I just added about 3/4 cup chocolate chips and 1 cup dried cranberries to a pumpkin cookie recipe)
