This week's menu- can't stand the heat, keepin' out of the kitchen

The Yellow Farmhouse Weekly Menu Plan
for July 15th thru 21st   


 Notes: The heat is back and it’s packing a punch. The kitchen temp is currently 85 degrees. Bleh.... We're cooking on the grill and using the crockpot as much as possible.  Also- we've got some leftovers we’re working our way through for lunch this week- hence a week of “diner dinners”. 
New recipe update from last week: Menu plan got revamped last week so the new recipe from last Sunday has moved to this week.
From the Farmers Market: 2 greenhouse tomatoes, 2 cucumbers, 1 pint yellow pear tomatoes, 1 sweet onion, an 8x8 pan of raspberry cream cheese cinnamon rolls (total treat!).
I visited a 2nd farmer's market last week and loved it. Hoping to go to another different one this week. Our market here in our little village is a tiny and I just love me a big sprawling, food hawking, craft gawking, baked goods inhaling market. The one I went to last week had live music- a very nice touch.
From the Garden: We picked more raspberries- yum!
And 2 dozen pullet eggs from our lovely ladies.
Food wasted last week: Approx. two chopped peaches from the back of the fridge. 2  tubes of refrigerated biscuits exploded into a goo mess. The peaches are going to the chickens, the goo mess was a waste.

Monday
Breakfast: Muffins with a side of fruit- raspberries & peaches
Lunch: Diner dinner
Dinner: Daddy Donalds (Mr. Steady’s amazing burgers), French fries (reboot from last week)
Tuesday
Breakfast: Yogurt and fruit smoothies, toast and jam
Lunch: Diner dinner
Dinner: Pork BBQ sandwiches (made in crockpot), chips, dill pickle spears  
Wednesday
Breakfast: Cinnamon Cranberry Bread with jam, side of fruit- raspberries & peaches
Lunch:  Diner dinner
Dinner: Mexi-lasagna, tossed greens salad
Thursday
Breakfast: French Toast with homemade jam
Lunch: Diner dinner
Dinner: Bologna burgers, chips-n-dip, dill pickle spears/cucumber & mayo salad
Friday  
Breakfast: Choice: cold cereal with milk/ vanilla yogurt with fruit & granola
Lunch: Diner dinner
Dinner:  Steak, corn on the cob, tossed greens salad
Saturday 
Breakfast: Daddy Cooks! – Eggs, bacon, toast
Lunch: Family Reunion- bringing: cucumber & mayo salad, Mr. Steady's refrigerator pickles and a dessert (yet to be determined)
Dinner: Leftover Smorgasbord
Sunday – New Recipe
Breakfast: Coco Wheats with dried cranberries, toast
Lunch:  Crockpot recipe: Continental Chicken (reboot from last week), tossed salad and biscuits
Dinner: Sunday Snupper (snacks for supper) leftovers or nachos or cereal if its late…

Snacks for the Week:
The snack staples: Oreos and popcorn
Other snacks- homemade iced fruit popsicles, muffins, cinnamon cranberry bread
Fruit for noshing this week: raspberries, peaches
Desserts we’re hoping I make this week:
No idea
