We've got farm fresh eggs! {and the menu for our week}

The Yellow Farmhouse Weekly Menu Plan
for June 17th thru 23rd  



Our first four eggs! Simply beautiful!
Notes: We are so excited! Our hens started laying eggs already! This is about 6-8 weeks ahead of schedule and we are just feeling stinkin’ blessed. The first eight or so were pullet eggs… tiny but yummy and now a couple of the ladies are laying more “normal” sized eggs. We are over the moon about it.
Food wasted last week: approximately a quart size portion of the flat of strawberries we bought last week were moldy. Nothing I could do about it and it made me sad… but the scraps made our lady hens extremely happy- which is quite alright in my book.

Monday
Breakfast: Chocolate chip strawberry pancakes with homemade whip cream (similar recipe)
Lunch: Diner dinner
Dinner: Ham and baked potatoes (both done in slowcooker), steamed green beans
[set aside some ham for Tuesday dinner and for a dinner next week]

Tuesday
Breakfast: Eggs in Basket topped with cheese & bacon, fresh fruit
Lunch: shredded chicken quesadillas
Dinner:  Ham and Veggie Alfredo (made like this but with ham), biscuits

Wednesday - New Recipe
Breakfast: Yogurt and fruit smoothies, toast and jam
Lunch:  diner dinner
Dinner: Grilled Fish in foil packets, brown rice

Thursday
Breakfast: Choice: cold cereal with milk/ vanilla yogurt with fruit & granola
Lunch: Diner Dinner
Dinner: Campbell’s mac-n-cheese casserole, sausage, greens salad

Friday  
Breakfast: waffles topped with fruit
Lunch: Diner dinner
Dinner:  Date Nite!
Kids dinner: hamburger gravy on toast, steamed green beans

Saturday 
Breakfast: Daddy Cooks! – Eggs, bacon, toast
The Mister & I are gonna try this right here
Lunch & Dinner: Graduation open houses

Sunday
Breakfast: Coco Wheats with dried cranberries, toast
Lunch:  Crockpot recipe: Country Chicken-n-Dumplings, dill pickle slices and chunked cheeses on the side
Dinner: Sunday Snupper (snacks for supper) leftovers or nachos or cereal if its late…

Snacks for the Week:
The snack staples: Oreos and popcorn
Other snacks- homemade iced fruit popsicles, homemade bread with fresh made strawberry jam
Fruit for noshing this week: apricots, strawberries, nectarines 

Desserts we’re hoping I make this week:
Sassafras is picking something out this week... it might be this with some fresh fruit
