Menus for our first week of summer...

The Yellow Farmhouse Weekly Menu Plan
for June 3rd thru 9th


Notes: Summer is here and so is softball games, campfires, picnics, star gazing, firefly catching and lots of late nights. We've got a couple of quick meal nites in the agenda this week as well as two crockpot meals and a night of grilling out! 
One more thing- we knocked one off our summer bucket list- Pancake bites! This recipe is a keeper.... easy to make and great to freeze and grab later when we're in need of a quick filling breakfast.
Food wasted last week: Five whole wheat rolls went to the chickens. About a cup of shredded pork went in the trash.

Monday
Breakfast: Pancake bites (flavors: apple, blueberry, cranberry)
Lunch: Diner dinner
Dinner:  catch as catch can…. We’re all out and about!
Tuesday
Breakfast: Fruit and yogurt smoothies, toast and jam
Lunch: shredded chicken tacos
Dinner:  chicken salad on croissants, chips, cucumber & mayo salad
Wednesday
Breakfast: Pancake bites (flavors: apple or blueberry), fresh fruit
Lunch:  Bologna burgers, chips-n-dip, dill pickle spears
Dinner: Slow Cooker Ham and baked potatoes
(note to self: this meal is subject to change to something quick & simple if our plans change!)
Thursday
Breakfast: Bacon and egg cups, fresh fruit
Lunch: Diner Dinner
Dinner: Foil pack dinners (hamburger patties topped with cheese and loaded with lots of veggies and a bit of olive oil and grilled)
Friday  
Breakfast: Choice: cold cereal with milk/ vanilla yogurt with fruit & granola
Lunch: Diner dinner
Dinner:  out
Saturday 
Breakfast: Daddy Cooks! – Eggs, bacon, toast
Lunch: Leftover Smorgasbord
Dinner:  Leftover Smorgasbord
Sunday
Breakfast: Coco Wheats with dried cranberries, toast
Lunch:  Crockpot Beef Stroganoff, biscuits, greens salad
Dinner: Sunday Snupper (snacks for supper) leftovers or nachos or cereal if its late…

Snacks for the Week:
Oreos (a snack staple), homemade yogurt w/ fruit, pumpkin cranberry muffins, popcorn, cheese and crackers
Fruit for noshing this week: apricots, strawberries, nectarines
Desserts we’re hoping I make this week:

Chocolate donuts (didn’t make them last week)
