Meal Menu this last week of June

The Yellow Farmhouse Weekly Menu Plan
for June 24th thru 30th  

Oh wow, June has just tallied it's days right up in rip-roaring time 'round here. Our chickens continue to lay those cutesy little pullet eggs, we’re averaging 2-3 a day (we have 8 chickens).  
New recipe update from last week: We had this foil packet recipe and it was delicious! It's definitely a keeper. Recipe tweaks: added sliced mushrooms.
On Saturday we had this- and it was okay. The thing was the recipe says to bake for 10-12 minutes and it took almost 20 for the eggs to begin to set. And it's best to make sure your mushroom caps are a bit concave, with my first effort- the egg slide right off the cap! I think it's easier to add chopped mushrooms to my scrambled eggs.
From the Farmers Market: 2 yellow zucchini, 2 green zucchini, 2 cucumbers, 2 big red greenhouse tomatoes, 2 yellow tomatoes, 1 dozen farm fresh eggs and 1 lb. straight from the farm honey.
Food wasted last week: 4 limes to compost. 1/3 loaf of homemade bread went to the chickens. Two spoonfuls of a cheesy dip got shoved to the back of the fridge and only recently found. ew.

Monday New Recipe Nite
Breakfast: Yogurt and fruit smoothies, toast and jam
Lunch: honey ham sandwiches, chips, pickle spears
Dinner: Chicken with creamy tomato herb sauce, greens salad, homemade bread
Tuesday softball night
Breakfast: Eggs in basket topped with cheese & bacon, fresh fruit
Lunch: Diner dinner
Dinner:  Chicken salad sandwiches, chips, dill pickle spears
Breakfast:Cereal topped with fresh strawberries or yogurt with fresh strawberries
Lunch:  diner dinner
Dinner: Ham and baked potatoes (both done in slowcooker), steamed green beans
[carry over- didn’t have this last week]
Breakfast: French toast with homemade strawberry peach jam
Lunch: Egg sandwiches a la Ms. Books
Dinner: diner dinner (aka- fend for yourselves nite- lots going on!)
Breakfast:Choice: cold cereal with milk/ vanilla yogurt with fruit &granola
Lunch: Diner dinner
Dinner:  Burger sliders (this idea right here)
Breakfast: Daddy Cooks! – Eggs, bacon, toast
Lunch: Leftover Smorgasbord
Breakfast: Coco Wheats with dried cranberries, toast
Lunch:  Crockpot recipe: Cheesy Ravioli, green beans, homemade garlic bread
Dinner: Sunday Snupper (snacks for supper) leftovers or nachos or cereal if its late…

Snacks for the Week:
The snack staples: Oreos and popcorn
Other snacks- homemade iced fruit popsicles, homemade bread with fresh made strawberry jam
Fruit for noshing this week: apricots, strawberries, nectarines, peaches
Desserts we’re hoping I make this week:
It's hot and we've got a gallon bucket of fudge ripple ice cream and a few toppings!
Or if I feel up to it- I've got a recipe here at home for Strawberry and Cream Cheese Ice Cream
