What we're cooking up as this last week of school winds down

The Yellow Farmhouse Weekly Menu Plan
for May 20-26th       

Notes: Looking forward to slower mornings this week as we finish up the last bits and pieces of school. The kids want us to cook up some smashing breakfasts this week. I want to keep it simple. We're compromising.
Food wasted last week: Four hard boiled eggs shoved to the back of the fridge… from Easter. Ew. Good news is it's compostable so Its not a complete waste.... four big flaky biscuits from when we had strawberry shortcake last week... how could I miss using those? Okay- well, they're chicken feed now and that's a little bit more alright.

Breakfast:  cold cereal, toast and jam
Lunch: Chicken topped green salad or chicken quesadillas
Dinner:  Chicken-n-noodles, homemade bread, home canned pickles
Breakfast: Country skillet breakfast (a lot like this recipe)
Lunch: Cheddar-n-ham sandwiches, chips, pickle spears
Dinner: Peppy mac, greens salad
Breakfast: Homemade yogurt with fruit and granola
Lunch:  Diner dinner
Dinner: Chicken zucchini parmesan bake, greens salad
Thursday –End of the School Year Family Nite
Breakfast: Eggs in a basket, bacon (cooked in the oven), fresh fruit
Lunch: Quesadillas, fresh homemade lemonade
Dinner: Grilled Kabobs (chicken, steak and tons of veggies), cucumber & mayo salad
Homemade ice cream for dessert!
Breakfast: Donuts! Fresh fruit!
Lunch: Diner Dinner
Dinner: French bread pizzas
Breakfast: Daddy cook- Farmer Breakfast: eggs, bacon, toast
Lunch: Graduation open house
Dinner: Out
Breakfast: Coco Wheats with dried cranberries, toast
Lunch:  Picnic style: sandwiches, macaroni salad, chips, pickle spears, cucumber & mayo salad, cookies
Dinner: Sunday Snupper (snacks for supper) leftovers or nachos or cereal if its late…

Snacks for the Week:
Oreos (a snack staple), homemade yogurt w/ fruit, salsa-n-chips, Bitty Bites (little granola bar like bites- recipe to be shared real soon)
Fruit for noshing this week: bananas, strawberries, oranges
Desserts we’re hoping I make this week:
Homemade ice cream (chocolate)

Something else- Drinks
 Its hot, so I'm back to making iced coffee this week. I like to make a four cup dark brew and pour it into ice cube trays and freeze. I pour regular coffee into a mason jar and keep it in the fridge... then when I'm in need, I pop a few coffee cubes in a cup and top it off with cold coffee, flavored creamer and a cute straw. Oh it's glorious, slurpy, caffeinated goodness.

I've got a lot of frozen sliced peaches in the fridge and I've started using those instead of ice cubes in my juice. Yummo! 
Plus I've even been plunking those peaches and some frozen strawberries into water to make a fruity flavored water too... which I'm lovin' lots
