2013's First Menu Plan!

The Yellow Farmhouse Weekly Menu Plan
for January 7-13, 2013  

Notes: Welcome January 2013’s first full menu plan! We were out of town for most of last week so this is the first menu plan of the new year! Somehow or another we've got lots of smallish containers in the fridge of this/that and the almost unidentifiable right now and so we've declared diner dinners for this week- which means you make lunch from your choice of leftovers. Hopefully this will clean things up before we have to throw something out. Its also my plan to evaluate if anything can be tossed in the freezer for fridge soup later on. Somehow or another I forgot I already had romaine lettuce in the fridge and bought more- so lots of salad on the menu this week. Also- we were gifted with a half dozen almost overripe lemons, combine this with the fact that we all need to be drinking more water- I made lemon water and have declared for all dinners (and during the day) we'll be drinking it.

Monday
Breakfast: Peach oatmeal, toast and jam
Lunch: Diner Dinner
Dinner:  Aunt Florence’s Mac-n-cheese casserole, greens salad, homemade ranch biscuits
Tuesday
Breakfast:  English muffins with cream cheese, mixed fruit
Lunch:  Diner Dinner
Dinner:  {Crockpot} White Chicken chili, cornbread
Wednesday
Breakfast:  Slices of cranberry chocolate friendship bread, oranges & bananas
Lunch:  Diner dinner
Dinner: Pinteresting Three Cheese Pasta Bake, steamed green beans

Thursday
Breakfast: Homemade oatmeal with blueberries & cherries, toast
Lunch: Diner Dinner
Dinner:  Mexi-lasagna, greens salad
Friday
Breakfast:  Choice: cold cereal with milk, vanilla yogurt with fruit & granola
Lunch: Potluck @ homeschool group- bringing: drink
Dinner:  Bologna Burgers, chips-n-dip
Saturday 
Breakfast:  Daddy Cooks! – Eggs, bacon, toast
Lunch: Leftover Smorgasbord
Dinner:  Leftover Smorgasbord
Sunday
Breakfast:  Coco Wheats with dried cranberries, toast
Lunch: Crockpot Ravioli, homemade garlic bread & greens salad
Dinner: Sunday Snupper (snacks for supper) leftovers or nachos or cereal if its late…

 
Beverages for the week:
Milk, Water, coffee, hot tea, cranberry-pomegranate juice. lemon water
Snacks for the week:
Cookies, Fruit: bananas and oranges, popcorn, cranberry friendship bread
 Desserts for the week:
Two Sister Bars, hot fudge sundaes
