A menu full of meals featuring the creative use of leftovers


The Yellow Farmhouse Weekly Menu Plan
for November 26th – December 2nd  


Notes: This week is marked by the creative use of Thanksgiving leftovers. I figure this evens out the extra expense of preparing special foods for Thanksgiving.  The mixed fruit mentioned for breakfast is a combination of fruits frozen from the summer- peaches, strawberries, apples, blueberries and cherries (the best of Michigan’s fruits!). Diner dinner consists of your choice of leftovers- that’s how we’ll be doing lunch this week. I see us whipping up some turkey bacon cheese quesadillas for lunch one day… at least.

Monday
Breakfast: Homemade oatmeal with blueberries & cherries, toast
Lunch: Diner Dinner
Dinner:  Sloppy Pizzaburgers, chips, homemade dill pickle spears
Tuesday
Breakfast:  English muffins with cream cheese, mixed fruit
Lunch:  Diner dinner
Dinner:  Farmer’s Pie, leftover seven layer salad, homemade pickles, leftover rolls
Wednesday
Breakfast:  Homemade oatmeal with peaches, toast
Lunch:  Diner dinner
Dinner:  Crockpot Ham & Beans, cornbread
{1 large jar of Northern beans to which you add 2 cups cubed cooked ham- cook on low for 3 hours}
Thursday
Breakfast: Homemade yogurt with mixed fruit & granola,  toast
Lunch: diner dinner
Dinner:  Turkey & noodles, homemade biscuits, skillet green beans, homemade pickles
{turkey version of this recipe: chicken-n-noodles}
Friday
Breakfast:  Cereal and toast
Lunch: Diner dinner
Dinner:  Cheesy bacon corn chowder, ranch biscuits
{this recipe with a couple handfuls of crumbled bacon and at least a cup of shredded sharp cheddar}
Saturday 
Breakfast:  Daddy Cooks! – Eggs, bacon, toast
Lunch: Leftover Smorgasbord
Dinner:  Leftover Smorgasbord
Sunday
Breakfast:  Coco Wheats with dried cranberries, toast
Lunch: Crockpot Macaroni-n-beef, homemade biscuits, pickles, skillet beans, salad
Dinner: Sunday Snupper (snacks for supper) leftovers or nachos or cereal if its late…

Beverages for the week:
Milk, Water, coffee, hot tea, apple cinnamon water, cranberry-pomegranate juice
Snacks for the week:
Cookies, mixed fruit, popcorn, homemade salsa & chips, cranberry friendship bread
 Desserts for the week:
Baked donuts, ice cream sundaes
