Good Eats for the Week


The Yellow Farmhouse Weekly Menu Plan
for September 24th thru 30th   


It's difficult to think anything but pleasant thoughts 
while eating a homegrown tomato.

Notes: We’ve carried over a couple of meals from last week as we were blessed with an abundance of leftovers. I love this about menu planning- the ability to adjust when needed, knowing the ingredients are on hand.
From the Garden: As long as the frost holds off we’ll harvest tomatoes. Mr. Steady needs plenty of green cherry tomatoes for his olive pickles so we may harvest as many green as we can this week.
From the Farmer’s Market: green peppers, squash
Putting up: Making pizza sauce… hoping to also make olive pickles and salsa soon.

Monday
Breakfast:  cinnamon caramel donuts, bananas
Lunch: diner dinner (leftovers of your choice)
Dinner:  French bread pizzas
Tuesday
Breakfast:  homemade oatmeal with fruit, toast
Lunch:  English muffin mini pizzas (with leftover toppings & sauce from last night)
Dinner:  Italian Wedding Soup with mini sub sandwiches
[Soup from can (Aldi). Sandwiches- use hotdog buns- butter split buns, top with ham and cheese and broil until cheese has melted and bun is a little bit toasty]
Wednesday
Breakfast:  cold cereal, toast
Lunch:  Ms. Books deluxe grilled cheese sandwiches with last night’s leftover soup
Dinner:  Cheeseburger Casserole, sliced tomatoes, green beans
Thursday
Breakfast:  Pancake bites
Lunch:  Diner Dinner
Dinner:  Pacos- taco toppings on potatoes [making the potatoes in the crockpot]
Friday
Breakfast:  Yogurt with fresh fruit, toast
Lunch: Kid’s favorite junk food lunch: Beef ravioli (canned), cottage cheese and cheese crackers
Dinner:  Big W Family bonfire cook-out
Saturday 
Breakfast:  Daddy Cooks! – Eggs, bacon, toast
Lunch: Leftover Smorgasbord
Dinner:  Leftover Smorgasbord
Sunday
Breakfast:  Coco Wheats with dried cranberries, toast
Lunch: Easy chicken parmesan, steamed green beans
Dinner: Sunday Snupper (snacks for supper) leftovers or nachos or cereal if its late…
Beverages for the week:
Milk, Water, coffee, Lemonade
Snacks for the week:
Cookies, fresh fruit- bananas, popcorn, toast and homemade jam
 Desserts for the week:
Leftover Boston Cream Pie Poke Cake, Whoopee pies, ice cream sundaes
