Menu- camping bookends


The Yellow Farmhouse Weekly Menu Plan
for May 28- June 3rd  

Notes: We started the week with a rustic camp-out with friends- good food all around;  those guys really know how to cook over a fire! We end the week with another camp-out- this time in a friends big backyard to celebrate the end of the school year with our homeschool group.
Michigan strawberry farms are starting u-pick this week and the kiddos and I are hoping to squeeze in some time for that too….

Monday
Breakfast:  campfire breakfast: omelets in a bag

Lunch:  Picnic style: sandwiches, pickles, chips, chunk cheese, lemonade
Dinner:  chicken sandwiches  topped with lettuce and tomato, chips
Tuesday –ball game
Breakfast:  Yogurt topped with fruit and granola, toast
Lunch:  spaghetti Os, chunk cheese, pickle spears
Dinner:  hot ham and cheese sandwiches, chips, pickle spears
Game snacks: trail mix
Wednesday
Breakfast:  Yogurt smoothies, cinnamon cranberry toast
Lunch:  diced ham and cheese quesadillas, salad
Dinner:  Melt in your mouth chicken, squash saute

Thursday
Breakfast:  English muffins with blueberry cream cheese, fresh fruit
Lunch:  Diner Dinner
Dinner:  Slowcooker ham and beans, cornbread, baked parmesan zucchini sticks
Friday Homeschool Group Camp-out
Breakfast:  choice: cold cereal or yogurt with fruit/granola
Lunch:  Diner Dinner
Dinner:  camp-out: grilled chicken, various pasta salads, chips, veggies & dip
Bringing: bacon ranch pasta salad
Saturday 
Breakfast:  camp-out: breakfast casseroles, muffins, fruit… bringing: 3 loaves of cinnamon cranberry bread
Lunch: grilling- hotdogs with the works, chips—bringing: 3 pkg hotdogs & buns
Dinner:  Leftover Smorgasbord
Sunday
Breakfast: Coco Wheats w/dried cherries, toast
Lunch: church potluck-- bringing: pasta salad, triple fudge brownies
Dinner: lunch leftovers
Beverages for the week:
Milk, Water, tea, coffee, Lemonade, Half & Half-- lemonade & ice tea (a new family favorite), cranberry juice
Snacks for the week:
Cookies, fresh fruit- strawberries & apricots & peaches, popcorn, trail mix
 Desserts for the week:
Ice cream sundaes (homemade ice cream), brownies, chess squares
