May 2012 Menu #3- Quick and efficient


The Yellow Farmhouse Weekly Menu Plan
for May 14th through 20th

Notes: Ms. Books and I are taking off mid-week for a regional youth event through our church at one of our favorite colleges – Olivet Nazarene University. Sassafras and Mr. Conductor are uber-excited to be hangin’ out at Nana and PawPaw’s for a couple of days and Mr. Steady is going to have some quiet down time and knock out a couple of projects that will go way easier without all of us underfoot. I planned super easy and quick to throw together meals this week so that we can make the most of our family time and this mama can finish a couple of other projects before scooting off for a few days.

 

Monday
Breakfast:  cinnamon rolls with icing, strawberry cream cheese coffee cake (Mother’s Day leftovers)
Lunch:  diner dinner
Dinner:  Breakfast for Supper! Sausage gravy and biscuits, fresh fruit
Tuesday
Breakfast:  choice: cereal or yogurt, toast and/or fruit
Lunch:  cheesy chicken quesadillas, greens salad
Dinner:  Fridge Soup, homemade bread
Wednesday
Breakfast:  Yogurt topped with fruit and granola, toast
Lunch:  Diner Dinner
Dinner:  family movie and meal at church
Thursday – Mr. Steady on his own
Breakfast:  homemade granola with milk
Lunch:  Diner Dinner
Dinner:  Chicken Chow Mein (his favorite LaChoy canned dish of choice)
Friday
Breakfast:  homemade granola with milk
Lunch:  Diner Dinner
Dinner:  Mr. Steady +2 at Nana and PawPaw’s
Saturday 
Breakfast:  Daddy Cook! Eggs, bacon, toast
Lunch: Leftover Smorgasbord
Dinner:  Leftover Smorgasbord or cooking out over the campfire (hot dogs & smores!)
Sunday – Big to-dos at church today!
Breakfast: Brunch at church
Lunch:  Easy Chicken Parmesan, steamed green beans, homemade biscuits

Dinner: Cook-out at church
Beverages for the week:
Milk, Water, tea, coffee, Lemonade
Snacks for the week:
Cookies, fresh fruit- strawberries & peaches, homemade honey oatmeal bread, trail mix
 Desserts for the week:
Ice cream sundaes, cupcakes, choco-banana milk shakes
 
Easy Chicken Parmesan
6 frozen breaded chicken patties
6 slices fresh mozzarella
Favorite jar of Spaghetti Sauce
-- cook chicken patties in oven according to directions on package. Next, place 1 slices of cheese on each patty and cook in oven broiler for two minutes or until cheese is melted and ever so slightly browned. While patties are in broiler, heat approximately 1- 1.5 cup of spaghetti sauce.  Place cheese covered patties on individual plates and pour desired amount of sauce on top. Serve with steamed veggies or a crisp green salad.
