What we're using: Curriculum for coming school year

Taking a moment today to join up with the "Not" Back to School Blog Hope over at Heart of the Matter...
This week we are to share our curriculum for the coming school year...

Here’s a list of the websites I used for ordering:

We are Charlotte Mason in style and I find this website to be a great tool. In fact, this is where I compiled my books for our poetry and character studies.
Our history/geography and Language Arts mostly come from WinterPromise. I only needed to order certain components this year because of having previously done this theme with Ms. Books our 2nd year of homeschooling. While I often purchase complete themes from WinterPromise, that was not necessary this year and instead price shopped between WP, Christian Book and Amazon for the best prices.

Here’s the breakdown for the 2011-2012 school year- by child:

Adding: Queen Homeschool’s Language Lessons for the Secondary Child Vol. 2

Science: Apologia’s Zoology 2: Swimming Creatures on the Fifth Day
Computer: Typing Instructor for Kids (continuing plus more work in Word)

We will also be participating in our homeschool group (which meets bi-monthly). Our group offers a variety of classes including physical education and a performing/applied arts type class.
This year they'll be in the following classes:
(each class is 6 weeks- one semester- unless noted otherwise)
Ms. Books- American Sign Language (year long class), Radiant Purity discussion group
Ms. Books will also help student teach a jewelry making class
Sassafras- Michigan History (year long), Crocheting, jewelry making
Mr. Conductor- Cooking, Science in the kitchen, Storykeepers
All three kiddos will be a part of a choir class and a semester long hymn study.
