Weekly Menu plan-- in which I discuss snacks


The Yellow Farmhouse Weekly Menu Plan
for June 13-19th        
Notes:  You may notice there isn’t a lot of variety in our beverages or snacks. We try to keep it simple… we often drink water with our meals, we always have Oreos on hand for the boys, I love making my yogurt- at least once a week and we can always change it up with fresh fruits or jams or make smoothies for a snack. Hummus is a real favorite of mine and Ms. Books- a great go to snack we just caught onto last fall—we like to keep a container in the fridge at all times. Chips & salsa is another thrifty & hardy snack that we all enjoy. Since it’s summer, we have a large supply of popsicles which we share freely with whoever’s over playing… I don’t limit the number of popsicles the kiddos can have either and they don’t bug me about that darn ice cream truck that circles our block continually throughout the summer. Popcorn is another great snack option and easy to keep on hand.
Monday
Breakfast: Oatmeal with fresh apricots & strawberries
Lunch:  Diner Dinner
Dinner:  Chicken and biscuits, salad
Tuesday – Daddy Softball Nite
Breakfast:  Homemade Yogurt with fresh fruit & granola, toast
Lunch: Taco dogs (dog, cheese, taco shell. Top w/ baked beans)
Dinner:  mini subs, chips, pickle spears
Wednesday – Bible Study
Breakfast: Cereal with fruit
Lunch: Chicken sandwiches, sun chips, pickle spears
Dinner:  Curly Noodles Supper, greens salad
Thursday
Breakfast: French Toast, fruit
Lunch:  Spaghetti Os & hot dogs
Dinner:  Egg & sausage waffle sandwiches, fresh fruit
Friday  
Breakfast:  Eggs a la Ms. Books, toast
Lunch:  Diner Dinner
Dinner:  Homemade pizza
Saturday 
Breakfast: Daddy cook: eggs, bacon & toast
Lunch: Graduation open houses
Dinner: Graduation open houses
Sunday – Father’s Day
Breakfast: Raspberry Cream Cheese Coffee Cake, fresh fruit
Lunch:  Grilling! With Nana & PawPaw
Dinner: lunch leftovers
Beverages for the week:
Milk, Lemon Water, lemonade, ice tea, iced coffee (Mama & Papa)
Snacks for the week:
Cookies, homemade yogurt & jam/fresh fruit, hummus & pretzels, popsicles, chips & salsa
Desserts this week:
Homemade ice cream, chocolate cake, strawberry shortcake, root beer floats
