Third Week of Advent: Week of Preparing.

This is the week of Preparing.
The prophet Isaiah was speaking about John when he said, “He is a voice shouting in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord’s coming! Clear the road for him!”
Matthew 3:3

To celebrate this week we will:
Read about John the Baptist and discuss how he prepared the way for Jesus.
Ask grandparents to share a favorite memory from childhood.
Ask parents to share a Christmas family tradition that has been passed down at least two generations.
Make bird feeders for the birds--- spread peanut butter on pinecones, roll in bird seed and hang from a string on trees and bushes.
Help Mama prepare a meal for the family this week.
Sing a favorite Christmas carol.
Spend time praying for each member of your family.

Of note: Lots of preparing going on here at the yellow farmhouse right now. So far I've almost completed four different posts for posting.... and none of them are ready but this one. I want to share about Ms. Books special day, our family field trip, homeschooling, Advent and Christmas preparations, family fun, love & joy and the 'real' tree we have this year and how it fell down and what Mr. Steady finagled to keep it up right and how my life can be like that- needing finagling to keep it upright....
but I'm too busy doing it.... experiencing it all to post it.
We'll get together soon.
I promise.
